Galapagos
This trip started off with some Air Canada disaster, and ended the same way. However we made the most of it. Our time in Quito was cut short on the way in. Casa Gangotena was a lovely hotel. We spent a few hours wandering around the histroic district and tried some chocholate. We then headed to Galapogas safari Camp. They planned all of our excursions for us, but we were based in their lovely camp rather than on a boat which our group (both mothers in law in tow) would not have enjoyed. the manager there was lovely with us, she helped relax the moms for the snorkling. We spent time in tortuga bay, Bartolome, South Plaza, and Sante Fe. although often discreditied if you are not cruise people , or are travelling with family land based Galaopogos trip was a very relaxing option for us.
